![]() ![]() There's been a lot of work that's gone into them and in future builds, we're changing up a lot of things, adding some charts where large gaps between difficulties exist, fixing every little detail I missed when most of the content was originally made, etc. I completely stand behind the charts in Pulsen. The question I'd ask is, if you have 500 songs you believe surpass DDR and ITG, wouldn't 550 (or more) be better? Instead of spending all that time looking around for potentially good charts most of which will probably let you down (I know from experience), why not get them in a nice package specially designed for them? This way it gives a good start to most and a nice detailed view for players like us who really wanna see more. About a month in, I got a lot of comments from pro-level players and added all of these extra features you can enable in the options. My original mindset was "this is what casual players want". I'm also a long-time StepMania player since 2002 so I know what you're talking about I originally had charts made for my personal use and then heard a lot of people wanted a game outta that stuff so I started work on Pulsen. Man, after that post I don't know what to say. ![]() ![]() After his retirement and Overwatch's fall, Reinhardt declared that he would become a knight-errant on a quest to bring justice. Here’s my lens at 105mm before (left) and after calibration and also the Lens Profile chart showing the microadjustment test data: FoCal generates a detailed report of each test (Pro version only, see below), including sample images so that you visually verify the improvement in focus sharpness. The 24mm setting was so close it didn’t need adjustment, but the 105mm setting was very far out of calibration. I had it test and calibrate my Canon 24-105mm f/4L at both 24mm and 105mm. Here’s one very tangible test result from my first run with the software. ![]() Also, this was my first time ever using the application, and I absolutely did not read the manual before trying it out. I was able to test and adjust microfocus on all 5 of my AF lenses in about 35 minutes, and that includes about 15 minutes of setup time. But after testing FoCal 2.6 with my Canon 6D and set of AF lenses, I can verify that it is indeed a relatively painless process. If you find that the process of manually testing and adjusting your camera body for autofocus microadjustment on all your lenses is tedious and time-killing, definitely consider spending a few dollars on Reikan’s very awesome FoCal 2.6 software and let your computer do all the work. ![]() ![]() Most samplers require you to manually set the tempo of audio files.īut what about the accuracy of the tempo detection? There are still some quirks that are annoying, like a gamma shift when using the MainConcept h.264 encoder in Squeeze, but you can adjust for this sort of thing. ![]() Squeeze, on the other hand has really taken some great steps forward, particularly (in my opinion) with version 6. Unfortunately, as others pointed out, ProCoder hasn't been updated in a while - the last update was in 2008 - and it has definitely fallen WAY behind at this point, particularly when it comes to both flash and h.264, which are arguably two of the most important parts of encoding software these days. Squeeze, I always USED to prefer ProCoder 3 to Squeeze. I'm not sure it's logical to compare Carbon Coder to Squeeze since CC is $6000, as opposed to $700 for a new purchase of Squeeze, or a lot less of an upgrade purchase (I believe it's still only $200 to update to Squeeze 6 from version 5, which comes with Avid.) At 30 times the cost (if you already have Squeeze version 5), Carbon Coder had better be a LOT better than Squeeze. To be fair you should really consider Carbon Coder for this comparison, which is the latest version of Procoder, better than Procoder 3. ![]() ![]() ![]() Jeremy balances technical instruction with artistic advice, including a whole chapter on going for it with color.
